The company was established in 1984 as Matan & Partners Limited by
Dr.
Emmanuel Matan and as multi-disciplined Engineering /
Environmental / Management Consultants.
The Senior Staff have been involved in several multi-million pound projects in
the United Kingdom and overseas, and multi-million pound World Bank projects in the Developing
Countries.
Matan and Partners now operates as Matan International Group Ltd and the

The
company is highly technical and innovative. In 1987, the company was featured
on a television programme and won a prize for our pioneering work on the
utilisation of landfill Methane gas from Liverpool International Garden Festival
site to generate 1000 kw electricity. This was the first commercial landfill
gas electricity power generation scheme in the United Kingdom, and was funded by the U.K.
government. The scheme was mainly responsible for promoting landfill
gas electricity power generation as a viable form of renewable energy. The company is one
of the leading experts on landfill gas technology, and in the environmental
field in general. The company provides comprehensive services in all aspects of
investigation & development of derelict / contaminated land/ brown field sites,
and it pioneered
many of the techniques and processes which are now widely used in the
development of contaminated landfill sites.
